he vast and appetizing panorama of cioccolatini from Italy is a showcase of Italian creativity and design. Luscious filings range from hazelnut, champagne and coffee-flavored creams to various nuts and liquors. Baci, made of chocolate and crushed hazelnuts, plus a whole hazelnut on top, are one of the most famous products of this kind, as well as Boeri, a wrapping of superior quality dark chocolate over a whole brandied cherry. Another typical Italian favorite, the 4-layered Cremini, have two light layers made with cocoa butter, almonds and hazelnuts and two dark ones adding cocoa liqueur. In a myriad array of shapes and sizes, from small hearts to miniature bananas, these chocolate products are often individually wrapped in gold or silver foil, and are also packaged in fine assortments in distinctive luxury boxes renowned for their elegance and romantic charm.
