In a skillet sauté the garlic with the oil. Add the pork chops, browning them on both sides over high heat. Remove the garlic, reduce heat to medium and cook the chops until tender.
Sprinkle with salt, place slivers of Parmigiano-Reggiano over the chops, cover the pan and cook over medium-low heat until the cheese has melted. Serve immediately.
