Since then the Rubini family boosted vine growing and were pioneers in regional viticulture. Pietro Rubini was the founder and the first president of the Consortium Colli Orientali del Friuli. Today the owners are Mr. Leone Rubini, his wife Rosa and his daughters Diletta and Vittoria. Diletta deals with business administration. The production is overseen by the oenologist Dimitri Pintar. The Rubini family has been devoted to viticulture in Spessa for almost two centuries. They have 70 hectares, 60 of which are vineyards and about three are of olive trees.
