The Italian Trade Commission, working with some of New York’s finest restaurants and wine shops, will be celebrating Italian Wine Week, from January 21st through February 1st, with a special SHOP & DINE - VINO 2009 consumer promotion.
New Yorkers are invited to attend a series of wine tastings and seminar sessions featuring some of Italy’s finest producers, including a superb selection of traditional and modern style wines from Abruzzo, Calabria, Lombardy, Tuscany and Veneto in participating wine shops.
Wine bars and restaurants have created special by-the-glass, flight and pairing menus, designed to make their patron’s experience with Italian wine engaging and memorable.
The Italian Trade Commission’s promotional activities are an integral part of Italian wine’s success story in the US. "The Italian wines discovered in wine bars, shops and restaurants more than often are integrated into the next wine and cheese party or family dinner at home. Italian wines are becoming a part of every day life in the US and are no longer enjoyed on occasion,“ comments Aniello Musella, Italian Trade Commissioner – Executive Director for the USA.
