ITA @ Worlds of Flavor International Conference & Festival
The 20th anniversary of the Worlds of Flavor International Conference & Festival series gathered more than 70 influential chefs, journalists, food experts and trend spotters from around the world and across the United States at the Culinary Institute of America, in Napa Valley, California. The 2018 theme was World Cuisines, Immigrant Kitchens and the Future of American Food. Three days of interactive experiences and culinary highlights at World Marketplace during which the Italian Trade Agency showcased the excellence of Italian foods. Crostini with Sweet Gorgonzola and Mantua Fruit Mustard, Umbrian Lentils with Sicilian Tomato Paste, Pork Loin with Artichoke Puree and Sardinian Mullet Bottarga and Sicilian Almonds to mention of few delicious dishes prepared by Chef Viola Buitoni. Italian gelato in six different flavors was a big hit. ITA also sponsored a Kitchen Workshop entitled From the Alps to the Tuscan Fields to Coastal Sorrento: A Gastronomic Exploration of Italian Food and its Migration to America with Michelin-star chef Stefano Masanti. A great success!
