SUMMER FANCY FOOD SHOW SPEAKS ITALIAN: THE ITALIAN EXHIBITORS’ LIST

ITALY – THIS YEAR’S LARGEST EVER PARTICIPATION AT THE SUMMER FANCY FOOD SHOW
New York, 25-27 June 2017
The Italian Trade Commission extends a cordial invitation to the members of the media and trade to visit the Italian Pavilion at the 2017 International Summer Fancy Food & Confection Show in New York.
Italian producers, regions, associations and consortia will all be on hand to offer a taste of the very best in Italian gastronomy. The show organizer Specialty Food Association estimates that a total of 2,600 exhibitors from 55 different countries will show off their goods. Approximately 37% of the exhibition area will be dedicated to international products.
The Italian Pavilion, with more than 300 exhibitors over the two show floors, will be again the largest international pavilion at the show, a success also connected to the strong investments made by the Italian government in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA). One example are the 12 promotional campaigns launched between 2015 and 2017 in collaboration with major US retail chains, that involved 1,500 Italian companies.
Ranking 6th in exports to the U.S., Italian food and beverage producers continue to benefit from an ever increasing demand for authenticity, quality, and health benefits. The strong sales of Italian foods vouch for the continued reversal of diets in favor of healthy, natural, Mediterranean eating. No wonder that, in the United States, where the consumption of specialty food exceeded the 127 billion dollar barrier in 2016, the Italian products are ‘at home’.
ITA is actively and constantly engaged in making consumers aware about the quality and characteristic of authentic Italian products, also through the “Buy Authentic Italian. Get More” campaign, that continues to inform the American consumers on the authentic Made in Italy.
Italian producers will present a wide spectrum of products—from traditional favorites such as olive oil, prosciutto, pasta, cheese, coffee and wine, to innovative products like organic honey and jams, gluten-free rice and pasta, chocolates and candies, juices and sodas, preserved vegetables and spreads, and countless more.
The Italian Pavilion – easy to recognize thanks to the unique ‘Extraordinary Italian Taste’ logo – will feature a new graphic image and will host, for the first time, a show-cooking area dedicated to PDO and PGI products.
