TOM MARESCA Author and journalist Presenting: The Wines of Abruzzo: in perfect harmony with the great flavors of Italy Tuesday, January 27th - 3:00pm - New York The New York Palace Hotel, Garrison Room Tom Maresca has been writing about Italian wine for about 30 years, a period that coincides with the greatest changes in Italian winemaking since the Greek colonists of Naples introduced the idea of staking the vine upright about 2500 years ago. He is the author of Mastering Wine, which won the very first Clicquot Award for Wine Book of the Year, and The Right Wine, and with his wife Diane Darrow is co-author of La Tavola Italiana and The Seasons of the Italian Kitchen. Currently, he is a regular contributor on Italian wine to The Quarterly Review of Wine in the US and to Decanter in the UK.
