Steve Raye is a principal at Brand Action Team, an Avon, CT-based marketing consulting company specializing in helping exporters bring their brands to the U.S. market.

Steve began his career in the industry with Palace Brands Co. division of Heublein, a predecessor to Diageo, managing brands including Smirnoff and Finlandia.

For the past ten years he has specialized in developing innovative digital initiatives for marketing wines including two ecomm startups, Drinks.com and eWinesource.com, as well as trade associations All About Greek Wine and the German Agricultural Marketing Board.

In coordination with MHW and Next Level Marketing, Steve and BAT are the organizers of the U.S. Drinks Conference, a seminar held annually in London to educate suppliers on the unique requirements of marketing European brands in the American market.

With a particular interest in online wine marketing, Steve has developed an expertise in social media marketing and other online programs to grow brand awareness and sales. Steve is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, is regular guest lecturer at American International College and writes a popular industry insider blog. Steve is a graduate of Cornell University where he majored in Communication Arts.
