Fred Tibbitts, Jr. grew up in the food service business, including two years full-time with Marriott while in college. After graduating in June 1969 from the University of Tampa with a B.S. in Economics and lacking but six credits for a double major in Psychology, followed by graduate work in Economics at the State University of New York at Albany, he continued in the industry working in the family food distribution business at Albany; then various career advancements in National Account Sales culminating with Northeast Regional Manager, National Account Sales, Joseph E. Seagram & Sons in New York City.
After nearly eleven years at Seagram where he had been promoted to Director of Sales-East, National Account Sales, followed by two years as Director of National Account Sales, Kobrand Corporation, in April 1992 he founded his own National Accounts Sales & Marketing Agency to assist beverage producers and importers with national account representation and also to assist the National Accounts develop their wine and beverage programs.
Over the past nearly seventeen years Fred has become the foremost wine by the glass consultant for National Accounts (chain hotels & restaurants) based in the United States and Asia Pacific. In addition he helps numerous producers and service providers around the world place their brands with many of the chains.
Fred holds business dinners in New York City (spring & fall) and as well annually at Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo and Bangkok to bring together the suppliers, the chain hotels and restaurants, industry VIP's, the press and hospitality educators. |
