Lynn M.Walding is the Administrator of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division, the position to which Governor Tom Vilsack appointed him in February of 2000. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Walding served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Iowa Department of Justice, representing several state departments including the Alcoholic Beverages Division.
Mr. Walding is also President of the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators (NCSLA) and Immediate Past President of the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA), and is the only person to have ever served in both capacities. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Public Administration at Iowa State University, where he teaches courses in Administrative Law and Business, Government & Society.
Mr. Walding received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science, a Masters in Public Administration and his Juris Doctorate from the University in Iowa. Mr. Walding resides in Des Moines, Iowa, with his wife Alison and two children, Brooke and Kurt. |
