Type Classico: Catarratto bianco comune and/or Catarratto bianco lucido, 80%, other local varieties, up to 20%. Type Rosato and Spumante Rosato: Nerello Mascalese and/or Calabrese o Nero d'Avola and/or Sangiovese and/or Frappato and/or Perricone and/or Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Merlot and/or Syrah, 100%. Type Rosso: Calabrese o Nero d'Avola, at least 60%;Sangiovese and/or Frappato and/or Perricone and/or Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Merlot and/or Syrah, up to 40%; other local varieties, up to 10%. Varietal types: the blend proportions are always the same, variety indicated in the type name, 85%; other similar varieties admitted under the DOC law, 15%.
