Varieties:
Vine variety requirements for this appellation's area change according to type.
Type Rosso: Piedirosso, 50-70%; Aglianico and/or Sciascinoso, 10-30%; other local red varieties up to 10%.
Type Bianco: Falanghina, 50-70%; Biancolella and/or Coda di Volpe, 10-30%; other local white varieties, up to a maximum of 30%.
Varietal types: the blend proportions are always the same, variety indicated in the type name, 90%; other similar varieties admitted under the DOC law, 10%.
