Varieties:
Vine variety requirements for this appellation's area change according to type.
Type Rosso: Uva di Troia; with the possible addition of Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Aglianico and Pinot nero, alone or together, up to a maximum of 35%.
Type Rosato: Bombino nero; with the possible addition of Uva di Troia, Montepulciano, Aglianico and Pinot nero, alone or together, up to a maximum of 35%.
Type Bianco: Pampanuto and or Chardonnay and/or Bombino bianco, with the possible addition of non-aromatical local white varieties, up to a maximum of 35%.
Varietal types: the blend proportions are always the same, variety indicated in the type name, 90%; other similar varieties admitted under the DOC law, 10%.
