Varieties:
Vine variety requirements for this appellation's area change according to type.
Types Rosso and Rosato: Barbera and/or Bonarda and/or Nebbiolo and/or Neretto, 50%; other local non-aromatic red varieties, up to 50%.
Type Rami'e: Avanà, 30%; Avarengo, 15%; Neretto, 20%; other local non-aromatic red varieties, up to 35%.
Varietal types: the blend proportions are always the same, variety indicated in the type name, 85%; other similar varieties admitted under the DOC law, 15%.
