Type Rosso: Sangiovese, 50%; other local red varieties, up to 50%.
Type Sangiovese: Sangiovese, 85%; other local red varieties, up to 15%.
Type Rosato: Sangiovese, 60%; Canaiolo nero, up to 20%; Trebbiano toscano and/or Malvasia del Chianti and/or Vernaccia di San Gimignano, up to 15%; other local red varieties, up to 15%.
Type Vin Santo Secco or Amabile: Malvasia del Chianti, 50%; Trebbiano toscano, 30%; Vernaccia di San Gimignano, up to 20%; other local varieties, up to 10%.
Type Vin Santo Occhio di Pernice: Sangiovese, 70-100%; other local red varieties, up to 30%.
