Wines from the four sub-zones (Grumello, Inferno, Sassella, Valgella) of the Valtellina Superiore DOCG appellation are usually suited to LONG AGING. Wines from the Valtellina DOC appellation are usually suited to MODERATE AGING, with the exception of the type called Sforzato or Sfursat, suited to LONG AGING.
